2002 ML320
ML320 2002 USA

I've bought an older ML320 2002. (USA).

It mentions 4WD in low ratio.

Did these come in different versions ?

Is this a AWD vehicle, or just 2WD and 4-wd in low ratio.

Thanks.

AWD. With the vehicle stopped, you can choose a super low set of ratios, useful mostly for offroad.

The Low-Range option is useful, but if the dashboard light bulb doesn't work, you can't tell if you're in low-range until you start driving, and you can't get out of low-range without stopping.... So, the day I bought my ML320 I drove to the airport in the early hours and somehow got into low-range at a gas-station and ended up driving 90 miles in low-range, I thought the transmission had gone wrong or something; didn't kill it though.... Doh!

Yes, I'd better get around to it! I tend to leave things that still work alone in case something else doesn't work, after I've interfered with it!
