ML350 Motor mounts

My Motor mounts were changed on my wife's ML350 at 74,000 miles (no vibrations) the car is driven easy, normal city driving and has never been off-road. Now the ML was just in for service at 99,000 miles (25,000 miles after the motor mount change) and they want to change the motor mounts again. I find this highly irregular (and insulting to Mercedes if they are in fact bad). I haven't checked them my self but do not notice any vibrations or shaking. I know that the dealership always try's to get me to change additional items before actually needed. I restored collector cars for over 50 years. Question is how logical is it for a motor mount to go bad after only 25,000 miles of easy city driving? I am considering a letter to the NTSB. If the motor mounts are really bad (at this low a mileage) it is certainly a design/manufacturing defect and as an engineer I could design a better product and the public should be protected.
Thanks for your comments.

If you can get your car on a lift, I'd take a look underneath and see if your motor mounts are leaking the hydraulic fluid or not (signs that it's time to replace). Just had the motor mounts replaced on the R at 53k miles (and it's the first time they've been replaced as far as I'm aware).

If you don't notice any issues then I wouldn't bother as you said the dealer always tries to squeeze extra money from you.

My ML320 had motor mounts replaced at 90k miles last...

I am now at 180k miles, exactly twice the mileage...My Indy has been advicing replacing them since 150k miles due to mild vibration on the steering wheel.

So far, it doesn't bother me & my mechanic has found no leaks on the mounts.

I am planning on replacing them at the 200k mile mark...
