Need Advice

I purchased my car on Aug 28,2002 and now it's almost 1 year old. The car now has 4800miles on it. I rarely used the car, the main purpose of buying this ML is to use it for long trip. Now i've been thingking to bring it to my dealer (MBSD) and ask for an under warranty oil change. Do u guys think my request is reasonable? consider half of the mileage is my trip from SD to LA. I have a feeling the dealer will refused my request though.
OR is there anybody here has experienced the same situation with me?

Any input is welcome.
Thanks in advance

KZ

The FSS bases oil changes on mileage, driving conditions and calender time. Believe the calander time is about 1 and a half years. However I have an 01 E320 hat is lightly used and the dealer did the free A service and a free B service after 1 and 2 years respectivly. My SA told me that the dealer is allowed some latitude with these. Try the dealer

Doesn't hurt to ask.

I'm not sure what the time limit is on oil changes--on my M3 it's one year, so even if the computer does'nt indicate a change due to mileage, you can get a free oil change due to time. Just ask.
