AC stopped cooling after felt something in accelerator

Hi everyone,

As the title says my AC stopped cooling after I felt something in accelerator pedal. I was driving down the highway and started to hear a rhythmic noise. Also I could feel some vibrations and other abnormal things in the pedal. Since that day my AC has never blown cold air.

I'v check freon several times in the past year.
The AC light does light up.

I'm thinking is the compressor but just wanted to get another opinion.

What do you guys think?

You haven't even mentioned the year and model of your truck. It makes a difference.

The early ML's had a clutch in front of the compressor. It is only supposed to spin with the pulley when you request A/C.

Check to see that it does when you request A/C.

you need diagnosis!!!first, turn AC to cold, turn fan to #1 push AC power on, open front hood and look in front of the motor to the lowest pulley on driver side which has two stainless steel hoses coming out-this is your AC compressor, when power is on you should be able to see the whole pulley spinning, just to make sure that it does, turn of AC power and check if front of compressor stop spinning...If diagnosis #1 pass you need to move to diagnosis # 2....please update as soon as you can so we can move to next step.
