ABS Pump Compatibility

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to find an ABS pump for a 2000 ML320. We bought one, but it was for an 2003-2005 ML350 and that was totally incompatible. I can't find hardly any for a '00 ML320, but I can find quite a few for '98 and '99s - are those interchangeable with the '00?

Thanks!

You can only use those from an 00,01 or 02. 98-99's you cannot.

What is the reason for changing it?

Have you considered removing the ABS motor off the unit and having new brushes put in it.You can usually get it done for around 50.00 dollars.YOu can also have the electronic module rebuilt for less than one hundred dollars. If you buy used chances are you will be buying a unit with as much wear as the one you are replacing and may soon fail.

Do you have a resource for these brushes and module plans and parts?

Better to work with a professional ABS rebuilder...

https://www.shop.modulerepairpro.com/

These guys absolutely made sure, they were sending me the right unit for my 2000 ML...with VIN no. match tool.
I think, they supplied me a fully rebuilt ABS unit (including motors, Control Unit and Solenoids) for about $400.
Also, rebuilt part is backed by warranty.

Worth the peace of mind. I have had it in my ML for 2 years now...no complaints.

Likewise, 8 years ago, I had my steering rack leak. No problems with the rebuilt rack till date from another professional rebuilt shop who specialized in rebuilding steering racks.
