HELLO MBworld.
have a 04 ml 350 with 187,000 miles on it.
every now and then on cold days, when i go to start it up the odometer reverts to all 000000's . when i drive it the miles start adding up and i might go a week or two with no problems then all of a sudden on a cold morning the same thing happens again.
could use a little help.
my freinds tell me to quit driving backwards.lol

Your problem sounds like an electrical issue, sort of a dry joint. When its cold the contacts contract, and after a bit of driving (warming up) the contacts/joints expand and the odo is back to life......
Lets wait and see what Maj.Dundee has to say

He should move to Arizona.

It would seem to be an instrument cluster problem, but when it reverts to all zeros, does it ever come back to 187,000 miles?
