ML Door electrical connector

ML Door electrical connector
Each passenger door has the same exact type of electrical connector (between the vehicle body and door) and I'm wondering if anyone knows how to remove/unattach it properly?
I have tried removing the connector several times in a number of different ways without applying pressure that would break the damn thing. I just can't see how it comes out but, it looks as if it should just pop out.
If anyone needs me to clarify this post by uploading a picture of the connector, I would be more than willing to.
