lowering MLs

hey all,
I lowered my ML with the eibach spring kit on the rear, and i was wondering if i should lower the front torsion bar at all (if so how much should i lower it??), to add to the handling/looks of the ML. If anyone has had some experience with this, please let me know, thanks.

Cars and boats!
I lowered my rear with H&R springs and lowered the torsion bars only very slightly at the dealership. They charged me $300 to install the springs and lower the front torsion bars.

Hey, how do your Eibach springs ride? I was wondering if the ride is as still as my H&Rs. Is it comfortable? Do you rub?

i got my eibach's at the same time i switched to the 18" ML55 AMG wheels and tires (from stock 16", 255/65) so i can only judge the differences for both additions. But even with both the wheels and eibachs, the ride is still comfortable enough, the only slight problem was going over speed bumps or "offroading" (yeah, um, by that i mean driving on gravel or grass). other than that the ride is stiffer where it should be, and makes high speed lane changing or slow speed cornerning more stable, and with less body roll through the corners. Also, i tried to get the stealership to install my eibachs, but they refused, so i took it to a custom shop... oh well. Ill try going back to the dealer to see if theyll lower the torsion bar. Thanks for your help,

I have a question. Why would anyone want to lower a SUV? I can understand a Coupe or a Seden but a SUV, COME ON NOW!!!!

What the purpose of buying a SUV if you going to lower it. You want it to handle like a sport car? Then get a sport car. SUV are meant to be offroad/carry kids to and from football games, etc...

Well, it just my 2 cent

Nope, im only askin $43k for the ML55 right now. I havnt sold it yet, but the H&Rs were definately stiffer then my previous AMG spring setup. The RENNTech Swaybar didnt make it stiffer, but it took away much of the bodyroll during corners. I actually think that the RENNTech swaybars improved the ride quality for some reason. I did have some rubbing before when I was towing my boat, but that is because im using 295/45-20 tires...next time I should go with 295/40-20. The tires in the rear are worn down 1/4 way already so the rubbing is gone. But in anycase, it wouldnt rub when i didnt tow the boat....even with the full thread tires. I love my ML, and parting with it is gunna suck, but Ive had my heart set on that 04 W211 for a while already.
