Post M113 E50 active cylinder control

Hello all, I'm looking to buy a 2002 ML 500 and am keen to know if anyone is aware of the optional "Active Cylinder Control (ACC)" variable displacement technology being retrofitted to this engine.

I am aware that this technology was optional on the W220 S500, but am unsure whether this was ever optional on the ML 500 as these cars share the same M113 E50 Engine. I am similarly unsure of whether this technology is capable of being retrofitted to an existing car?

Hopefully through the wealth of knowledge on this site an answer will transpire.

I've never seen ACC on M113. Had it on '01 W220 S600 tho, M137 V12 NZ NEW. From outside the electrical plug for ACC should look like on the pic:
