LED Strip for my ML Spoiler...

I have a Lorenzer spoiler fitted on my 2000 ML320....it recently came off while driving through gusty winds in and around LA....before fitting it back in place...I am hoping to get a brake light LED strip fitted on it...

Anyone has any experience with this? How difficult a job is it to wire it all up...with the brake light circuit...and what is a good place to find the best LED strip?

Does the brake lighting fuse needs to be upgraded for the additional current?

I checked out Kragens and Autozone...but none carry them...

Mihir, are you indian? If so, so am I! Anyway...

To answer your question about the LEDs, you might wanna try www.formymercedes.com, Jerry sells LED strips and I heard they are very good, it might not look too integrated if you just stick one on your spoiler, so my suggestion would be, sell your Lorinser spoiler, and buy the spoiler that Jerry sells on his website www.formymercedes.com with the LED's already in it. Those are my .02 cents, but either way, check out www.formymercedes.com and if you need any other help, you can contact Jerry directly by emailing him at info@myroadster.net or you can IM him on his AIM Handle at jjmyroadster
Good look Mihir, and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Yes, I am Indian....

I agree.....sticking a LED strip on a spoiler that isn't designed for one is not a clean solution...my .02 cents though...I am yet to come across a spoiler as aerodynamic as the Lorinser one....and I am confident that if done right...even an aftermarket strip fitted properly would look equally nice...

I will post some design ideas I have to get the strip on along with a picture of my spoiler some time later in the week...

Spoiler LEDs

I agree with what's posted above about installation. As to the fuse, LEDs draw almost no current, so you should be fine without uprating. Oh, and it's "Lorinser."
