'03 ML350 rear passenger window regulator
Hi all, I have a little problem that I am sure is going to be fairly simple with some help!
My rear passenger window regulator gave up the ghost! The bottom pulley disintegrated rendering the window inoperable. The motor is good, but I'm not quite sure how exactly the regulator is attached to the glass? I haven't ordered or received a replacement yet, so I haven't tried to drill out the rivets as of yet since the assembly is still securing the window with a pair of vice grips.
With the help of a mirror I can tell that there is a threaded piece of metal coming through the bottom of the glass. It is secured to the glass, but it does not resemble a nut or anything that I would be able to get a tool on. Is this the Clip (5) {red arrow} in the diagram? If so, then I am assuming that this detaches from the regulator in some fashion? The piece goes through the glass roughly where the blue arrow is pointing.
Again, any help is greatly appreciated and thank you.

Here are the instructions.
You will need a two handed rivet gun to install the regulator. If you don't have one it would be best to have a glass place install it.

Thanks Maj. Dundee. That helps, but I guess I need to assume from this that the post that goes through the glass from the regulator either pulls through the glass once the rivets are drilled out and you pull the regulator out, or there is a small piece that will separate from the regulator during removal that stays attached to the glass. This is one of those directions that you need to see in person before it is totally clear on what you need to do. There's a video on YouTube that for the most part covers this, but it is of a 2000 ML I think, and how the glass attaches to the regulator seemed to be somehow different from what mine looks like, although I don't see that they made any major changes to the regulator between '98 to '05.
