98 ML320

question for ML GOD

i have a 98 ml320. what is that black plastic box under the front driver seat? what happens if i remove it?

If you remove it then your sound system will sound like dog c@#$.

...FOR 2000 ML...IS THE SUBWOOFER UNDER THE DRIVES SEAT TOO AND CAN YOU REPLACE THAT WITH A BETTER QUALITY SUB? THANKS

you can disconnect the stock sub, and hook up an aftermarket one to the rear of the car, many people do this mod. I dont think there is a replacement to go under the seat...
