Windshild wipers not returning home
Ok, I have seen several other threads on this in other models but nothing on the w163.
I have a 2005 ML350. When the wipers are on they seem to work fine, but when turned off, they do not return to home... they stay where they were when the switch was turned off. I have read there could be a bad relay, where is this relay located or is there something else I need to look for? I have also heard the relay could be on the motor itself.

The park switch is inside the wiper motor assembly.
Did you try running the wiper for a few minutes, stopping occasionally, to see if you can mechanically clean the contacts. This worked for my 190E which had the same problem. The park contacts get grease and oil on them from lac of use and can often clean themselves off from being actuated on and off.

Thanks for the information... Wife came in this morning and asked what I did to the wipers. I started to freak out and she explained the wipers worked fine now... That could explain it. Ill keep an eye on them. I found out it was either the motor or the rain sensor, just didn't know where to start.
