I want to get a spare set of rims for winter tires for my '02 ML500
The standard rims are 17x8.5..ET52. Tire size 275x55x17
I found a set off of a later w164 sized 17x7.5...ET56. Tire size 235x65x17
These two tire sizes have a near exact diameter.
I played around with the TireRack.com comparator and it shows
the wheels would clear the calipers, but it doesn't measure by how much.
I like the idea of using a higher profile narrower tire for snow.
Could I use these?? Thoughts??

I do not know exactly I am sorry ,( but I know the one what I bought for my car few month ago with snow tires ,are came off from an ML500 and exactly looks and same size as these .) If I put the original 99 ml430 wheels next to a 2003 ml 500 wheel they are exact same .
I am sorry ,the correct answer to your question is , no those tires are all season tires ,but because of the "low" profile I only used them on summers .
