1999 ML430
Anybody replace PCV valve?

I just looked-is that it at the back of the engine down under the coolant reservoir? What a ***** to get to! Any tips on getting to this thing?

Yep-exactly. Part 158. Its a pain to get to it seems-i tried to yesterday just for kicks before ordering the part.

That 158 part is just a hose junction, it is not a PCV Valve. Below are the instructions to remove the air intake pipe.

You must be very careful pressing down the lower catch tab. Instead of using a screwdriver using your thumb to pull it down.

Thanks for the help Dundee. The reason i was asking abou the PCV is i have severe oil consumption (with no smoke and no leakage) and someone suggested changing the PCV?

ML's do not have a PCV Valve. You shouldn't have started a new thread on the same problem. You should have posted your question on the original thread you started.

I suggested that you remove the left valve cover to take a look. If you can't do it yourself, you will have to pay a mech. to do it.
