No sound from MCS

Hi

I finally got the security code to my MCS (2001 ML320) and tried to use it briefly. A couple of issues came up:

- No sound at all, on tape or radio (tried scanning as recommended by MB, still nothing). I tried turning the power knob in both directions but there was no visual (on the screen) or sound effect. It works for turning the system on and off.

-When I select 'CD', it tells me 'No CD Player installed' but there is a CD changer in the back which works as far as unloading and loading discs. Also, are there some easy solutions for things like AUX/Bluetooth?

-This isn't overly important but how much trouble would be involved in getting something out of the NAV and Phone features? ( Both currently saying 'No navigation system installed' and 'No telephone installed' respectively)

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

You say that you are not getting any visual (blank screen) but didn't you get a visual on the screen to enter the security code?

Check fuses 10 and 21.

I mean there is no visual response to turning the volume knob. The screen works fine otherwise. Where are these fuses located?

I think I'm gonna need a little more help :/ Is there a guide somewhere (with pictures) I can follow to find/remove/modify things? I'm comfortable with taking stuff apart (and putting them back together!) so I just need some instructions. This is so I don't have to ask you every little question. Thanks

What is it that you need to remove?

Sorry I completely forgot to say something here. I got a replacement MCS unit and the sound worked. Then I tried the original one and the sound also worked. So I think I must have fixed whatever wiring issue was present during the re-installation. I've been using it without any issues since. Thank you for offering to help though
