ML320 crank but no start please help
If you installed the replacement engine yourself, then everything has to be plugged in properly for the engine to start, including the MAF sensor, O2 sensors, and coolant temp sensor. If you've checked everything twice, and still no start, then you might need a new crankshaft position sensor.
I doubt that absent TCM is a cause of no-start, but you're not going anywhere without one, even in limp mode.

If you mean the plastic pipe at the bottom of the reservoir attached to the firewall, then the best way is to replace the reservoir. You've spent a lot on new parts for this car already, one more won't make much difference. Especially if this is what made the last engine blow up.
