New ml430 owner with questions
Hello, I recently purchased a 99 ml430 with 126k on the clock. It has an oil leak at what seems to be the oil expansion plug. And it has a cel for pretty much everything fuse f19 controls (o2 heaters, purge valve and such). As expected the fuse was blown and immediately blows when the ignition is turned on. Obviously my problem is a short somewhere in the circuit. However I no longer have Shopkey access and don't have the shop manual for this vehicle. So I'm wondering if any of you nice folks can tell me what components this fuse controls and where they are located so I can find the short.
I also have a problem where the keyless entry does not work. I have replaced all battery's and tried to pair the remote with no success. When I pulled the fuse box there was a small black wire with a metal end that I plugged in but it didn't solve the problem(think that is the antenna wire). I have searched and searched but haven't found a good answer on where to start so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fuse #19 controls five components, but your problem is probably going to be a wire/s at one of the four O2 sensors grounded to the exhaust pipe. Put it on a lift and check them out.
1. All four O2 sensors
2. EGR Transducer
3. Intake Manifold Switchover Valve
4. Air Pump Switchover Valve
5. Purge control Valve.
