Yes DIY. You can get the ones that plug directly into the factory harness from performanceproducts.com or any other brand and splice into the factory harness. After installing the lights, you need to have the dealer activate the fog lamp switch.

I have the Micro DE and I love them. It fits perfectly and the installation took about couple of hours. I got them from a different source other than PP which meant I had to fabricate my own brackets and wiring harness. Still it was an easy installation

You also had to fabricate a harness? Couldn't you simply splice into it?

Maybe I should have reworded that differently. By fabricating, I meant that I had to do some cutting on the Micro De side and cutting on the factory wire side. I also used male-female connectors.

I have the hella FF100's on my ML. Love them.
Had an independent garage install them for me.
Do a search on this forum for fog lights...also check out Benzworld.org, they have a lot over there on the fog lights!

If you go to Hella's website, they have majority of their lights on there with the illumination patern. I chose the Micro De becuase it had the best pattern and brightness out of all the ones that I saw.
