Exclamation W163 2001 ML430, Brake pad & Parking brake warning

Hello everybody, i am not new here i have not posted at all.

A little intro. I have two amazing mercs a W202 C200 with 360 000 km on the clock that i took over from my mother we have had the car since new. A recently a W163 ML 430. Sitting at 216 000 km.

The problem i am having right now is after going on holiday with the ML on very dusty roads and desert roads and a lot of corrugations the brake pad warning light and parking brake warning light (with very annoying beeps) light up randomly and i cannot get it to stop so i am now to the forum.

The light will flash randomly when
Accelerating from 0 to 40 km/h, or on the highway when i need to overtake
Braking ( flash intermittently no sound)
Dead stop( stay on until i pull away then proceed to beep)

Please help me

Check your brake pads. The warning light is telling you that they are worn.

I had the pads checked, they still have 80% left on them.
Thanks for the reply

Then check the brake pad wear sensor. After that check the fluid level.

the little sensors in the brake hub unit are probably old or have moved. i had the same symptoms when i had mine first replaced and they just needed to reseat them properly in he allocated space. its just a contact issue, easy fix

As to the Parking Brake light w/beeping, have you checked to see that the pedal is fully up?
