My 1st MB ... advice needed ...

I have a 2002 ML500 w/ 210K on it ... it's a hand me down I got this year, and I love the car. It's been really well maintained by my dad and we've got a good mechanic. However, unlike him, I'm on a budget and have to make choices on what to fix. Here's what I got going on ...

1) Noise in the front end at low speed when i back out of a parking space - a click, audible ... i've read it could be control arms or a ball joint

2) Leak at radiator - I don't think radiator itself, but may be the 14 year old hose on it.

3) Fog light switch not illuminated / does not work next to control head unit

4) Brake booster "pssssssshhhhhhhhh" noise ... I'm ignoring that at the moment as I know it's a $1200 repair.

5) Vertical molding quarter panels clear coat ... yep, enough said

Does anyone have experience with at least the first 3?

1. Must be your torsion bar bushings.
2. What leak is it exactly? Is it coolant? Is it PS fluid? Is it Transmission fluid? Find out exactly what & were the leak is. Depending on what you find, we can advice you on the fix.
3. Fog lights option could be off in the AAM. You might need a SDS(Star) system to activate the fog lights
4. People have tried repairing/changing the seal....But non have succeeded yet.......You can get a good second hand booster from 1999-2005 models. NOT 1998!!!
5. Common problem..........
