Problems turning over?

Hello,
I have a Mercedes 2002 ML320 and every time i go to start it, it takes a unusual long time to crank over and start. It has started every time, however the problem has recently gotten worst. I have recently put in a new catalytic converter thinking that would solve the problem but it did not. Has anyone else experienced this with the same truck? Could it be the fuel pump? Any answers or comments will be appreciated.
Thank you.

Have your fuel pressure checked. You most probably have a faulty pump & or fuel filter.

Turn the key to position 2. Wait for 20 seconds then start. Did it start in time?

Check fuel pressure first. Most likely a pump/filter going bad.
