Breakjob for my 1999 ML320
ML God,
Can I have my breaks done at one of those break job chains, or is the dealer the best bet @ $1100.00 for all 4 wheels including rotors. Is the breakjob so complicated that the dealer is the best bet?

Its not complicated but it can be time consuming. I would stay away from the chains and go to the dealer. By doing this you can be assured of the quality of the components used and they warranty the work

If you have the time and patience..I would say DIY...
A brake job is something that needs to be done periodically...no matter what car you own...for such jobs, it is always better to acquire the skills and learn to do it oneself.
Not only will it save you money, once you know how to do it right, it, you can be assured it will always be done right.
I myself own a 00ML320 and have been getting my brakes done at the dealership for the last 3 times...this time around I am considering DIY.
The OEM brake pads and rotors together only cost about $300..no point in paying $1000+ for the job. Rather invest the money in some good tools.
There is a thread on this forum that explains step by step instructions on how to do it...both the pads and the rotors.
Even if you need a brake fluid flush that is pretty easy to do.
