Gosh! How ... poetic! Keith, I'm sorry you've ignored my helpful comments. I know "thinking outside the box" can be difficult. But, if you want to spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on an "upgrade" that will yeild no difference in braking distance, no difference in brake pad wear, and an increase in maintenance costs, all for the sake of appearance - fine! Hey, this is America!!

00ML Keith, sorry that this confrontation had to happen on your post... but i have been continuously harassed by this individual.
"On your post?" A discussion of big brakes on a thread about big brakes? Seems appropriate to me!

Oh, I'm harrassing you?? BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!

That's hilarious! So, A-Ho, faced with evidence that your theory about "big brakes" is wrong, faced with an arguement that vendors might actually be misleading you in order to sell you something you don't need (Gasp!), faced with the opportunity to search this and other forums to see for yourself the testimonies of folks who in fact have already upgraded, e.g. Stefan, JDBower & others (only to realize improvements ranging from negligable to non-existent), faced with a challenge to come up with one shred of evidence to suggest that "big brakes" are anything but bling ....

Your response is to call me a ***!

Brilliant!! Predictable, but brilliant!

BTW, casual readers, I'm really not picking a fight here. After all, in a "battle of the wits", A-Ho is essentially unarmed. No, what I'm doing is challenging you to free your mind! Think for yourself! Challenge convention! Do your own research! Actually, I think bigger brakes look great, but I no longer fool myself that it is a functional upgrade.

The world doesn't need any more sheep like A-Ho! Think about it!

Finally, my apologizes to AlBoston, a fair moderator that defended me when he shouldn't have. Also, a "shout out" to Pete!

P.S. So, Pete, you like it when someone else does your dirty work? Getting old and lazy, are you? Its OK, I plagerized your earlier post with Stefan! (Oops! Am I supposed to send you a royalty check?) I remember once, a year or so ago, you said "Good Luck in your search for enlightment". Thanks! Good advice, as it turned out!

I think the 996 turbo rotor is 13" and the ML is 13.5 inch.

Are they the same thickness? If so one might be able to use the ML 55/500 rotor with the 928 rotors or better yet the 996TT 6 piston rotors.
The 996TT rotor is thicker.

"996TT 6 piston rotors.'

I assume you mean calipers.

The 996TT uses 4 piston calipers, not 6 piston calipers.

Idiocy should be confronted lest it grow and become accepted as wisdom.

Uh-huh. Go ***** yourself, A-Ho.

BTW, after reading of your “stable” of cars and trucks (discussed here )I just assumed your Dad worked at a car lot. But, its actually due to your “success”? Hey, that’s great! Odd that your galleries are empty.

hahaha.

first, yes my success is accredited to myself.

secondly, i never claimed to have a stable of cars. its just you crying about what you dont have.

third, im not a$$ kisser, i just have the upmost respect for JimB.

finally, UncAl, im trying to make peace here buddy...but dont mistake my attempt at kindness for anything else. i am no punk, and definitely do not fear you, you puss. i guarantee that you dont know anyone to the likes of me, and if you decide that your petty jealous is still overwhelming you despite my attempts at making peace, come over to jersey and stop hiding behind that little keyboard.

Wow, you're all over the map.

Isn't Jim one of those folks who you must judge because you have to assume that he is somehow inferior to you due to "your success* and his financial inability to get out of that old '00 320"

The shallowness coupled with the blingedness is stupendous!
