fuel gauge
so friggin' weird...the gas gauge fixed itself apparently. Went to do a fill up cuz I had no idea how much I had left in the tank...been without a gauge for over a week. Had my bro fill it up while I waited in the car. After he was done, I started 'er up while he was putting the nozzle back into the pump. Voila! The gauge worked again. WTF.
But I don't know if it's working "correctly" yet. Why I say this? Well, we drove about 20 miles or so from the gas station to shopping then back home. The trip computer registered 314 miles when I left the gas station. When I got home, it registered 315??? Normally when I fill up and go drive around and do stuff, the thing drops under 300 already....
Maybe it's stuck at full now or the sensor thinks its full?

OK, just came back from the independent. Looks like the fuel sender unit is fine and dandy, no errors. It is the cluster itself. The fuel gauge part is kinda messed up. He said honestly, it may come back and do the same thing later on, it may not. But he quoted me around $500 for a new cluster with the correct mileage on it and would apply what I spent today for diagnosing towards the $500. I spent about $76 for the diagnostic, so around $425, not too bad, but kinda sux that this is the second cluster to go bad.
