If I go full throttle with my Ml 350 it goes into a mode similar to a vapor lock, where it seems starved for gas and will not throttle back up normally without turning the vehicle off. Turning it off seems to reset the vehicle and it shows no further symptoms unless I press fully down on the accelerator again.

It will throttle up by nursing the accelerator very gently, but the issue continues in the vapor locking mode and will only accelerate by mildly, very mildly, accelerating, similar to throttling it up, and waiting for the vehicle to catch fuel pressure.

It will only accelerate without any issues by shutting the vehicle off.

I haven't changed the fuel filter. I will give that a shot and hope for the best, thanks

Do you know where the fuel filter would be located. I am researching it online and I am still unable to determine the location. Is there a publication I should buy if I am going to be handling many of my own repairs? Thant you or anyone would recommend?

I have tracked down a number of videos on youtube showing possible locations but none for my year and model.

Any further help is appreciated, thanks!

All petrol w163's have the fuel filter in the same location. You will need special fuel filter pliers to detach the fuel lines from the filter.
