Fiber Optic Audio conundrum
To make a long story short I have a 2001 ml320 that came with the non navigation Bose audio package. I upgraded to the Bose sound system with navigation package 3 months after purchase. I have the fiber optic connector for the cd changer but to my understanding it should be hooked up to the amp and subwoofer as well. so I unplugged it from the back of the stereo and of course lost cd changer functionality. This is where it gets weird the sub amp and speakers all work without the fiber optic connection in the back of the stereo! did they somehow not integrate the fiber optic in the amp and subwoofer because it was upgraded or was the fiber optic connector only for the cd changer to begin with and Im completely wrong about the whole thing?

It's hard to interpret what you are trying to get across but Fiber Optics is a chain which connects all components to one another.
Why did you remove the FO connector to the CD player?
What function is working?
