P0161 P0455 Code, FLASHING F.GUAGE LIGHT

Goodmorning ALL,
I have 2000 ML320 with Codes: P0161 & P0455 error codes and my Fuel Guage lights flashing after few minutes drive. I have also noticed higher fuel consumption though I cant accurately calculate my MPG.
* My mechanic has changed Fuel CAP, FUEL PUMP, purge Valve is sticking normal and checked for leakages without any significant signs noticed.
* I am made to know that this is a LARGE LEAK.
I need urgent help to narrow down search, save money and demystify this *P0455 beast*
Your assistance is much appreciated.

IF it can help this OB211 Live Data I collected

You must find an independent mech. who has a smoke machine. This machine will tell in no time where the leak is.

Thank you Maj. Dundee for the advice. I'll go for the smoke test and as soon as I get I fixed I'll report on the forum.

Hmmmm!! I just flushed the purge valve very well, connect it back after driving a while the P0455 Code is gone. How long will solution last? May be mystery solved after 2 days.
Secondly it rained this yesterday mornnn and the weather is a little cold, P0161 code is gone too. Can weather condition help trigger P0161 code?

You have two different and separate codes. One for an O2 Sensor and the other for a large Evap. Leak, both of which have nothing to do with the Purge Cont. Valve.

Cleaning the Purge valve is my last action on the SUV. Still wondering why both codes are gone. This is the 3rd day driving around town.
