Completely baffled! brake caliper is sticking, but it's not the caliper.

Just to update this thread, I didn't have time to work on this right away. When the weather cooled off it stopped acting up. It has been running with no issues for most of the time since I posted last. Some reading I did on here lead me to suspect the ECU, and there was a vague reference to an updated version. I hate to leave it unresolved, but it will have to stay that way for now since it is not one of my most pressing issues. No further problems with the brakes either.

I’m considering painting the OEM calipers to my recently acquired C43 estate .... would like to know if anyone progressed the ‘cover plate’ proposed earlier to offer cosmetic upgrade for the rear calipers
Many Thanks

People that were selling them up here locally in past on CL most likely ended up reusing them as paper weight.
WHy would you even consider bling such as this on a C43?
btw, this is a w163 thread.

Years ago I had a car that did the same thing but it wasn't a Benz, although it looked new the brake hose was deteriorated inside.
The fluid would go out to the caliper, stopped the car fine, then seeped back to the master when your foot was removed from the brake.
I cut the hose open inside the deterioration caused channels, which held the fluid in the caliper.
