722.6 Jumps into Second Gear

Hi, I would greatly appreciate any advice you all could offer on this. I bought this 2003 ML 320 to fix up for my son and its always shifted really hard from first to second gear. So much so that I was afraid it would break something. It seems as though everything I had done has helped the issue. I want to believe its almost fixed. First, I changed the Trans fluid and filter. Second, tested and replaced all of the solenoids, (found one that was not up to spec). Third, Replaced the conductor plate. Forth, replaced the engine and transmission mounts.(one was broken). Last night I installed the Sonnax Master overlap control valve sleeve kit. Today it is shifting better that is ever has...but...it still is not right. If I accelerate easy from a stop, it is almost normal, however if I accelerate to quickly from a dead stop it still has a "jump" shifting into second gear. There's a slight rev, (like its slipping), then when it takes second gear the car jumps. Once I'm past second gear, the car runs and shifts perfectly. I don't know what else to check. Does anyone know what else it could be or guide me to a solution? Im using the correct fluid and its at the right level. Thanks!!!

Have you tried resetting or reprogramming it?

Thank khomer2. I really appreciate the reply. I did the reset twice yesterday but unfortunately it didn't help. I'm still in need of ideas.
