headlight upgrade

I am going to buy some 04 headlights because I want HID. Besides getting some headlight assemblies, what else is required in order to have HID? Is it true they just plug in and you are set or do I need something special? Any help is appreciated before I spend $500. Thanks.

so you dont want bi-xenons?...you want the new headlight assembly and then youre gonna buy an aftermarket hid kit?

besides assemblies you need to buy a set of ballasts and bulbs.

it is plug and play if you buy the bixenon kit with the adapters.

sorry but 500 isnt going to be enough for assemblies and hid's.

Bi-xenons, which I installed on my '98, will run you well over $1,000. $500 buys you halogens. They are plug and play, if you have the harness adapters (at least they were on my year--some newer models may require programming).

HID upgrade is not cheap especially as used units are hard to find. If you rather spend less, just get some Hella or PIAA light bulbs that go for $75 a set. They come close to HID.

a fake hid bulb and a true hid kit are not even slightly similar.

Are you saying you will be purchasing 04 halogen headlamps and retrofiting an aftermarket HID kit? $500??
