want start but has fire and new fuel pump - when key is engaged the motor spins
1999 clk430 2 door coupe - replaced fuel filter and pump. Car will not start, however it acts like there is no fuel. when engaging/turning on the key will stay engaged - and continue to turn over until you physically turn key off - it want spring back - it acts like a relay. You could jump in the car and drive it say to the store - then you try to start it - it would not start. Let it sit for awhile and it would start - now it will not start.
