My '00 ML Soaked In Rain
Hi Everyone,
I appreciate that you are taking your time to read my post and to help me out. I was out for an hour, came back, and it was pouring down hard rain. Well my leather seats were soaked, there was water on the panel below the winshield, steering wheel, on the COMMAND (I don't have Nav, but I mean Radio/Tape/CD Fcts), & the Shifter. I dried everything up w/paper towels and cloths, and then I had the heated seats and heater on full blast. My main concern is, will anything happen to the wood trim in the car? Another minor concern is, do you think the car will retain its "leathery" smell? I have the windows and everything open at the moment to let air go in. THANKS FOR HELPING ME OUT! Could you just please post anything that you think might happen, I should get checked, or anything else. I greatly appreciate it everyone. It's the first time, a thing like this has happened to me.

Don't believe anything will happen to the wood as it is well protected with the finish on it. I would have some concern about the leather and would continue to air the car out and if possible run the A/C as the dehumidified air will tend to dry things out. After it is completely dry I would treat the leather with a good leather treatment. The carpeting is another concern as it must be completely dry or it may mildew. The heat and then the A/C may help this
