2002 ML 500 Won't Crank

Having a strange issue. My vehicle won't start sometimes. No cranking. Battery has proper voltage. Lights and radio work. If I disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reconnect, it starts just fine. No consistency as to when the issue happens, sometimes runs for a few days, sometimes happens twice a day. Additionally when it does run, the fog light indicator stays on and the dash lights won't come on if the headlights are on Auto. Hooked up a Mercedes specific OBD II reader but no codes came back that identify any issues that could be related.

The common problem is a corroded braided wire on the starter.

None of those codes you posted have nothing to do with starting of the eng.

Can't understand why you cannot read the AAM.
