Testing Secondary Air Pump (P0410)
It's time to get the truck smogged here in California and of course the check engine comes on. First I had the P0400 code for EGR - I got that replaced and it went away. Then comes P0410 - Secondary Air Injection. I'm no mechanic, but it seems like a very easy pump to replace. I took it off and want to test it. What's the proper way to test and see if it works? Can I get two wires, touch the +/- on the battery and then on the +/- on the pump itself to check if it runs?
