ML flat towing, coolers...
Friend of mine just bought an ML and wants to tow it behind his motor home. I understand he will need to use a diff/tranny cooler to make it safe. Can you guys tell me what's the best and where to buy it? Thanks in advance for the info...

Don't believe its wise to tow the ML for long distances or at highway speeds. MB even suggests a flat bed for highway breakdown towing. Believe you will do some trans and or transfer case damage

The information, given to by the previos post, is not only correct, but very wise info.
Firstly you do not need a oil cooler, as most modern transmissions are already set up, so long as you do not exceed the towing limits, to tow the amount rated in the case for the ML.
However dry towing, particularly long distances is a dumb way to go, and will for sure create problems.
Invest in a good quality car trailer, not only will the rig tow better, but you will put no strain on the ML at all.
However make sure, that the truck is tied down in such a way, that it cannot move back and forth at all. You could have problems with your wheel bearings otherwise.
