Exclamation 2000 ML 320 intermittent stalling - intermittent no start

Hello, need help diagnosing intermittent no start - intermittent stalling - not cranking.
A couple weeks ago my 2000 ML 320 mysteriously didn't start. After several tries it started and everything was fine for a few days until it happened again. This time several attempts later and still no start. After sitting for roughly 20 mins it started. This happened intermittently for a few days and then it stalled on me at a stop light. The intermittent stalling continued for a couple days. Each time it would start up after sitting for a half hour or so.
Just today the car stalled, no start even after waiting hours and trying. Now my car does not want to crank, it makes one click and powers everything off for a few seconds. Also notice a clicking noise from fuse box in passenger footwell appears to be circuit 15 relay?

Ignition switch?
Will replace battery tomorrow to eliminate possible issue

Look at your starter for corrosion and or melting.

Will check the starter today. Could the stalling be a separate issue or could a bad starter cause this?

It could be anything, but start by looking at the starter.
