98 ML320 limp mode
I just replaced the conductor plate and the 13 pin adapter but she is still in limp mode with a CEL. Has anybody a "backdoor" to reset the TCU? I read/saw something about turn the key on, hold the accelerator pedel to the floor for 15 seconds, bla, bla, but I think that only resets the learning curve. I don't have a scanner, only OBDII scanner and that don't do it.
Thank you in advance.

You need to erase your codes WITH a proper scanner (that's your ONLY door)
Get a proper scanner. Scan, erase, test drive. Scan again for any codes that may show up.

Bingo
Yes, the key was a bit more than I wanted to spend but it did the trick. Plus side is that the key fits other locks that I hold! Thank you folks.
