I did check the fuses, and just to take it out of the equation I replaced the ignition switch with an OEM Mercedes part, just the white plastic electrical piece on the end. I now have power to all of the fuses, but still no change otherwise.

When you turn the key to pos. #2, does the Inst. Cluster light up?
Turn the key to pos. #2 and test all the fuses in the box. Concentrate on the ones with the red dots (those I know are active in pos. #2). In other words, tell me which ones do not light up.
Then with the key out of the ign., remove relay K8 and swap it with relay K30 and then try to start eng.

When I turn the key to position 2 it does nothing the Instrument panel doesn't light up, everything is still the same. I checked all of the fuses again with the key on and all still have power to them with the key in position 2. I swapped the relays that you indicated still nothing I'm just wondering what else you think it might be if it's not the AAM.
