1998 w163 lessons learned a/c compressor not engaging

Recommissioning a 1998 w163 that has been laid up for several years.

Convinced myself the reason that the a/c compressor would not engage was a defunct AAM so got a new one from eEuroparts, fitting this caused a slew of issues
1. No start - knew this would most likely need reprogram at dealer.
2. Dim glow from d/s interior light
3. D/s seat heater one light constantly illuminated on switch (no ignition switched)
4. Rear wiper constantly on with switched ignition

So replaced original, all above - except the non engagement of a/c compressor, fixed
Traced 5 volts from AAM source - good, 5 volts at pressure switch - good
Rechecked the the Freon charge with auto store recharge kit - charge was low, then I saw this- large cash in A/C line. DUH!
So to do - new a/c lines, dryer, and evac/recharge the a/c

Next issue to solve - check engine light p1453 cannot Clear this code

A little background - this ml was ‘laid up’ for several years when the brake booster sprang a leak - now replaced - then the key got stuck in the ignition- then no start after brake booster replacement ( I removed fuse box to do this) these issues have been resolved, everything else, mechanical and electrical all working fine.

Ml almost ready to be recommissioned as soon as I can clear the p1453. I have replaced the SA motor / relay and fuse - cleaned the front egr ‘breather’ valves
and rear egr, replaced all the vacuum hoses, my research shows that the p1453 might be a generic code

Any one know about this code/issue?

Thanks

Just a hunch, perhaps a bad connection in the relay module?
