bi-xenon headlight passenger side (PS) not working

Hi Members,

At my wits end troubleshooting this issue.

At startup (canadian vehicle with DRLs), both bi-xenons (D2S) should activate and illuminate. PS does not.

The following was done or checked:

1) Fuse #20 in the PS footwell fusebox,
2) swapped in replacement xenon bulb,
3) swapped ballasts
4) swapped igniters
5) check harness wiring - all good
6) crc electrical contact cleaner used on all connectors - harness' and the connectors in the PS headlamp assembly.

On the stalk, when highbeam is activated, the PS HID beam comes on. The DS xenon high beam comes on. The PS (replacement) lowbeam/highbeam xenon bulb does not activate.
Still no change after these checks.

Strangely, when I swap the entire headlamp assembly DS to PS and PS to DS, both xenon bulbs work. All stalk functions work.

What am I missing here?

Cheers

Hello. Did you ever figure out what the issue is? I'm having the same problems.

I just dealt with something similar a nonworking passenger xenon light, tested everything and still couldn't find the issue. It ended up being the headlight ground wires for me, behind the headlight there were two ring connectors secured by a bolt and one of mine, I assume the xenon's ground, had snapped off.

I crimped on a new heat shrink ring connector and everything worked again.
