Thanks Maj, that's great. I am gaining problems with my parking sensors. My icarsoft fault code reader says all the front sensors are faulty, or have wiring problems which I find hard to believe, so I am thinking the control module may be at fault, or the wiring to it.

And why do you reject this possibility? all the front sensors are faulty, or have wiring problems which I find hard to believe

Parktronic not working

I didn't think that the likelihood of all 6 front sensors being faulty was high. I have checked and cleaned the connector on the underside of the car, and I cannot see (cannot see a great deal) any damage to the sensors from this connector. This is where my assumption came from that the control unit may be at fault. According to my fault code reader the rear sensors are ok, but they are not working because I believe if there is a fault in the parktronic system both front and back sensors turn off. With ignition on, just get a beep, the PDC button on the centre console goes red and the parktronic displays front and back display two red dots.

You must check for ground Brown wire, at all six sensors under the front bumper.
