EZ CD Changer Cable Question

I have a 99' ML320 with the Hiline radio. I was looking for the CD Changer Cable and cannot find it in the back by the spare. Any hints no where this cable is or are there ML's that did not come prewired for the cd changer? Thanks for any help.

It has probably fallen down into the trim. I assume you have found the CD changer mounting location.

I found the mounting location, but i could not find any free standing cables. Is it usually tucked in there or do i need to remove the panels?

To my horror my mechanic said to just yank them out with something. Sounded kind of rough to me. Popping the panel a little might help.
