2004 ML500 replace xenon with led
I have replaced both high and low beams in my ML500. The xenon control units for low beams have been removed and the led just feeds from the +/- (yellow/brown) power wires previously going to the control units. I can see only 1.5VDC at the terminals. I take it that this is the canbus control limiting voltage. Is only a loading resistor needed or a canbus decoder? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
