Need help ml550 air struts

Need help ml550 air struts

Sitting here in my garage with dirty hands wanting to go bed but I am stumped. I just put a new air strut assembly into my 2010 ML 550 passenger side just as I did on the drivers side a few days ago. Well I’m at a loss the air compressor fills the drivers side strut but there is no air at all going into the passenger side strut. Compressor runs and works fine. I can’t seem to find any answers searching the web of this happening. A few weeks ago the passenger air bag suspension failed in a big boom blowing the airbag to pieces so I decided to replace both fronts now only one front is filling. I am a bit worried that the old air bag overfilled and exploded? Could this happen? Wouldn’t the valve block have the same pressure all round in all bags. What do you guys think is happening? How could one bag in the front fill but not the other ?

Ok I updated my info

can you tell me the proper forum to ask this question? Figured under M class would be correct as it is a ML 550

i don’t have any fancy star diagnostic system. Is there any way to work around that?

Today I have more questions
first I took off the drivers side Airmatic level sensor the side that’s filling with air. I connected it to the passengers side in hopes playing with the Airmatic level sensor arm would trouble shoot that maybe the passenger side was shot. With it all the way up it didn’t kick in the compressor like it did on the drivers side. Playing with the arm on the DR. Airmatic level sensor moved the headlights up and down. Now the confusing part, I then took the passenger side Airmatic level sensor and connected it to the drivers side and it also adjusted the headlights level but it would not adjust it or do anything when it was on its proper side. More questions than answers.
