Will the OEM step bars fit an '01 with Sport Package?

Has anyone installed the OEM step bars (Part No.: 6-6-88-0201) on an '01 with Sport Package?
I'm hearing different stories depending on which dealer i call, so i'm wondering if it would fit or not?
Here the item from clairparts

I have seen ML55s with those... might need some cutting, not sure.

Thanks for the feedback! I can't see why they wouldn't either but in the description it says "will not fit the M6 Sport package" so i thought i'll double check before pulling the trigger on this one.

nice! Why did you get an 05 and not wait for 06/7? The facelifted sport model looks gorgeous tho, I hope you got black with java and bixenons

Thanks Al. Becaus of the issues with the ML, I reasoned that I'd be better off with an end of production 05 rather than a new sheetmetal. Consumer reports ranks the 04/05s quite well. Also, I have a Yakima bike carrier set and I'm not sure if it'll fit the new model. And yes, it's BLACK/BLACK, with 3rd row, loaded except for the parktronic and Sirius. I plan to add the rear wing, but MB doesn't offer one with the LED's. I skipped the Java 'cause of my 3 kids. Problem is that I have been waiting for over 2-months for the truck to arrive!!! Never believed it'd take this long. Meanwhile, my MY02 320 is waiting for a steering rack replacement - warranty, the torsion bar (or stabilizer bars, whichever the ML has) bushings are shot, and the truck spends most of its days in the garage. I love this truck but it's got to go!!!
