Smile ML320 - 89k Miles - Great condition

Hey Guys,

I'm getting ready to sell my 1998 ML320 in the next week or so and was looking for advice on how to price it considering the condition and issues it has. KBB seems very low, but eBay has listings up to 10k for the year and mileage my ML has.

Any advice or offers would be appreciated...

The good
- Paint is in great shape (Silver, with dark grey trim.) There are a few 1/8" spots on the hood where paint coating has chipped off.
- 4WD Low works
- All lights and accessories work
- 89,000 original miles
- Tons of tread depth all the way around
- All original BOSE stereo system w/multidisc
- I have several keys and good service docs
- No accidents

The bad
- The car spent a few years in Michigan (My parents had a condo that they visited every couple weeks. The car would be driven in the winter, but washed and stored when they left town.) Brake lines from ABS to rear axle have corrosion on them and should be replaced eventually. (I had a local shop patch a leak in the steel brake line that developed just before the firewall.)
- A CEL comes on intermittently. (once every 6-8 weeks) for a day or so then turns off. (I'm assuming a tune up would fix this as the codes are for misfires but the car never feels any different when running. so it sounds like the car momentarily gets out-of-tolerance.)
- The right rear strut is shot, so the car squeaks when going over bumps.
- There is a dent in the passenger side rear wheel fender 6" across

It's worth whatever a buyer wants to pay for it.
A lower mileage baseline w163 means nothing without the service records.
You wont get even close to 10K for a measly ML320 in it's present condition, so no point referring to ebay sales of MLs with similar mileage.
A 2001 ML320 with AMG sport pkg with 168Kmi and AMG ML55 wheels recently sold for under 3Kusd
If it were an ML55, it would be different story
Check out BAT, for examples, to get a better grounding to reality.
