Replacement Remote/Key for 99 W163
Is there anyone in Melbourne Victoria Australia that can supply a W163 ML 99 flip remote?
The keying may not be an issue as I can get a local locksmith to key it, but the remote - no-one seems to be able to do these anymore. They say the car is too old and discontinued

Thanks @Maj. Dundee , given that is the case - how would I be able to prepare for my future as I "knowingly" am quite forgetful.
Would the best option be replacing the entire central locking system and using the same key cut as I dont think my ML has an IR sensor. But then would an aftermarket central locking work with (or worse lock/disable) the immobiliser?

Hey Dundee, I have a similar problem and I do I have that key. at the moment I have to lock the truck manually and would like find an alternative option with aftermarket.
My question is, how easy is it to install an after market keyless entry system? Any recommendations brand and wiring diagrams that I can possibly use?

My understanding is that, on these trucks, it is not easy to install after market keyless...the keyless is integrated with the security system (DAS/SAM) of the car. It is very tightly integrated with the rest of car electronics.
