Help Help Help!!!!!
I have a 98 ML320 with 95000 miles on it. On sunday i drove out to NYC. The next day i started up the truck let it run for 15 mins or so and drove off. As i was going down the highway i heard this clicking noise coming from the right side airbag. so i drove up to a traffic light and put it in park and the noise was gone. so i drove off slowly without putting the pedal all the way down just slightly the noise didnt appear till i stepped quarter of a way down. it started doing this clicking noise like it was a spark plug sparking. so as i was on the highway i floored the ****ing thing and the noise would click faster and faster as my MPH goes up. so i pulled over and check to see maybe it was like a bag stuck under my truck or something. Nothing was there. so i got back in and drove off. since money the thing been clicking. If i was to drove next to something like a divider or a wall you can really hear the thing clicking loud. So i really dont know if you guys had this kind of problems. Tomorrow im just gonna drop it off at Ray Catena in Edison NJ and have them check it. If you guys might know something i dont please let me know so those ****ers dont try and rip me off and say its something else. i had so many problems with this truck its unbelievable. alright guys i hope to hear something from you experts out there.

Look for something stuck in one of your tires. Even a nail, screw or pehaps a pebble would do that. If when you drive next to something like a road divider on your right its louder or more noticable thats the side to look at and its definitly outside of the vehicle
HEY SOSH. THANKS FOR REPLYING BUT ITS NOT SOMETGHINGI N THE TIRE BECAUSE IF I WAS TO COAST DOWN THE ROAD WITHOUT STEPPING ON THE GAS THE CLICKING NOISE DOESNT APPEAR. IT ONLY APPEARS WHEN I STEP ON DA GAS QUARTER OF THE WAY DOWN.

After reviewing all the technical service bulletins for your vehicle the only thing that came up was a problem with the water pump, a belt tensioner and a transmission output flange. One of these maybe the culprit especially if it made it to a TSB but it sounds more like something in the engine ie: valves etc. Have you listened to the engine with the hood up? I don't know if this is any help to you but I did try to check. I would not be surprised that if you take it in this is where they will look first (that is where the TSBs suggest). Good luck
