ML430-1999-Acelarator does not work
Hello recently I purchased a used 1999 ML430 and it appears that there is an issue with the accelerator position sensor or throttle body.
I have tried the reset several times and have replaced the battery.
Once you start the car the BAS-ESP light and ETS light come on. also the engineer will not rev when you hit the accelerator.
Is there a way to find out if its the throttle position sensor VS the throttle body ? I do not have a scanner so my only option would be to first replace the Position sensor and see if that resolves my issue.
My next option would be to buy an affordable scanner but I'm not sure which one would be preferred.

Replacing any component will be useless because after doing so you must delete the codes and you do not have a scanner.
